Moderation ist das Mantra! Kein Wein ist auch keine Lösung.

Für viele beginnt das neue Jahr mit einem von den Medien obsessiv begleiteten Selbstoptimierungs-Monat. Selbstgeißelung, Enthaltsamkeit und Verzicht sind ein Muss für den Start ins neue Jahr.

Für viele beginnt das neue Jahr mit einem von den Medien obsessiv begleiteten Selbstoptimierungs-Monat. Selbstgeißelung, Enthaltsamkeit und Verzicht sind ein Muss für den Start ins neue Jahr. Ob Veganuary, No Spend January oder Dry January. 31 Tage auf eine Angewohnheit zu verzichten, um sich am 1. Februar selbst auf die Schulter klopfen zu können. Klar mag das kurzfristig einen positiven Effekt auf den Körper oder das Konto haben, aber langfristig ist das keine sinnvolle Lösung. Nicht wenn wir nach dem super trockenen, schlecht gelaunten Januar wieder in die alten Verhaltensmuster zurückfallen. Der JoJo-Effekt lässt grüßen.
In den Medien kocht der Diskurs jedes Jahr höher. Er ist platt, häufig schlecht geführt. Lasse ich mich hingegen zu einer reflektierten Auseinandersetzung mit den eigenen Schwachstellen und Konsumverhalten hinreißen, geht es schnell tiefer und wird spannend. Und dieser Part der Diskussion interessiert mich als Individuum, Genussmensch und passionierter Weintrinker.

Dry January, Dry February, Moderation March – What’s next?

Die Mahner mit den erhobenen Zeigefingern, die gerade in jeder Zeitung und jeder Timeline auftauchen, mögen Recht haben. Dieser dogmatische Ansatz ist zu kurz gesprungen. Die Auseinandersetzung mit dem individuellen Konsumverhalten und Rigidität vs. Moderation findet hier nicht statt.
Der Schlüssel zu einem gesunden Umgang, nicht nur mit Alkohol, sondern mit jedem Genussmittel und Konsum, ist Moderation. Ich bin kein Freund von Dogmen. In der gefeierten und medial gehypten “Reinform” ist Dry January Augenwischerei bis Quatsch! Der Freifahrtschein trockener Januar ist nicht das Rezept.

Mehr Achtsamkeit, weniger Beliebigkeit!

Zur Achtsamkeit gehört die ganz bewusste Wahl des Getränkes. Beliebigkeit ist der Untergang. Das gilt für das Glas Sekt oder Weißwein, die ich ohne Angabe zu Herkunft, Rebsorte und sensorischen Kontext angeboten bekomme. Man trinkt halt ein Glas Wein, Hauptsache er schmeckt und entfaltet seine Wirkung, der Genuss bleibt auf der Strecke.

Eine Wertigkeit gebe ich dem Wein und dem Winzer erst in dem Moment, in dem ich mich selbst für das, was ich tue, sensibilisiere. Trinke ich mit diesem Mindset, dann verlasse ich den Bereich der Intoxikation und des betäubenden Gefühls. Es ist die mannigfaltige Welt des Geschmacks, die ich am Wein schätze und der durch den Alkohol verstärkt wird. Achtung, jetzt nähern wir uns der Achtsamkeit, einem weiteren strapazierten Dogma! Doch echter Genuss ist mit Limitierung und Maßhalten eng verbunden. Weniger und besser trinken. Lieber eine richtig gute Flasche bewusst genießen, statt sich zwei belanglose Pullen gedankenlos in die Figur laufen zu lassen. Das ist mein extra-trockener Ganzjahresanspruch.
